2021.12.02 13:13 pm_me_ur_handsignals Which type of railroader are you?

There are two different types of railroader out there, and you usually see it working excessive OT.
The first one is the type who only talks about hoping to tie up at a decent time and gets pissed when they make OT (like throwing shit around the cab, full on adult temper tantrum).
Then there is the 2nd kind, where you just sit back and count the dollar bills as they fall in your pocket.

2021.12.02 13:13 JacqueMaritain_lives Supporting families is not the same thing as ending poverty. But both are necessary.

I’ve recently been thinking about the structure of the welfare state and poverty.
Economists draw a distinction between absolute and relative poverty. Absolute poverty is the cost of a particular basket of goods (and services) that is required to survive, while relative poverty is tied to what is considered a middle class income in a given area (usually 50% of the median wage).
Often, this basket of goods includes rent estimates sufficient to house a family (usually a minimum of a three bedroom dwelling) and childcare.
I think from a methodological standpoint, this is problematic because poverty is tied to what it takes to survive as a detached individual.
Of course, I am not advocating for the libertarian viewpoint that people shouldn’t have children until their financially stable, but rather simply that these are two distinct parts of the welfare state.
The welfare state should both cover the needs of a detached individual (ie rent for a studio apartment, enough food, clothing, appliances, transportation etc) without including childcare and a dwelling capable of housing a family.
But additionally there should be provisions to encourage family formation, such as child allowances, rent support for families etc.
But it’s important to make a distinction between these two necessary elements of the welfare state.
Thoughts?

Would they possibly help with the body aches and anxiety??? I know it's not the brightest idea that's why I haven't went into a trip feeling this bad so was wondering if maybe a microdose could help.

2021.12.02 13:13 CryptoBumGuy "Get Lucky", a No Loss Lottery built on Algorand. Team is matching the total weekly winnings and Donating to the Rainforest Alliance every week.

Are you ready to Get Lucky? www.GetLuckyASA.com
A no-loss lottery for everyone, and for a good cause. Every day (you heard that right: EVERY DAY), 20 wallets are chosen at random and awarded 1,000,000 LUCK tokens. And everyone has a shot to win, no matter the size of your wallet. Simply holding LUCK is your shot to “Get Lucky” while contributing to a more sustainable tomorrow.
How it Works Every day starting December 1st at 9pm EST, 20 wallets are pulled at random containing the LUCK asset ID with a balance of at least 1 LUCK token. How do we do this? Leveraging the Algo Explorer API, we are able to pull a list of all of the eligible wallets.
From there, we use a random picker function to choose 20 wallets and then award 1,000,000 LUCK to those 20 winners.
600 BILLION tokens are allocated to the rewards distribution wallet. Therefor, this contest has the potential to last for FORTY YEARS! Leprechauns live for about 300 years, so this should not be an issue.
Our commitment to the environment For every lottery drawing, an equivalent 20 million LUCK tokens are liquidated from the lottery wallet and donated to the Rainforest Alliance. Simply holding LUCK tokens means you are contributing to a a better tomorrow. The higher the value of the LUCK token, the greater the impact we can make!
About Us GetLucky was started by two blockchain enthusiasts who have a deep passion for the mass adoption of Algorand. We want to bring excitement to Algorand, without the monetary barrier to entry.
That is why our no loss lottery requires nothing from you. Random drawings based on wallets themselves, and not the amount of LUCK they hold means everyone gets a fair and equal chance to win.
All the while, you are helping limit climate change!
How do I participate in the LUCK drawings? It is simple! Add our Algorand Standard Asset (ASA) ID 415326737 to your wallet, and hold at least 1 LUCK token for your chance to win daily.
How do I buy LUCK tokens? You can buy LUCK tokens from TInyman. The higher the value of LUCK, the bigger the donation to fighting climate change.
Can I make money with LUCK? Absolutely. Our goal is to drive value to the LUCK token and create a balanced and sustainable growth model. Plus, the higher the value of LUCK, the more money that gets donated to fighting climate change. It is a win-win scenario.

2021.12.02 13:13 thatsmymind When recording guitar, do you play the song all the way through or do you record parts separately?

I've been trying to learn how to record some of my own songs on Logic Pro, but I'm having trouble with recording guitar. Do you guys typically record the whole song or do you loop or record parts separately and then line them up?
Also, if you do record parts separately, how do you line them up and make them sound consistent rather than choppy?
I'm new to all of this, so any help/tips are appreciated! Thank you!
